About the Company

Project Overview

Belnea is a Polish company specializing in the production of high-quality cosmetics for daily face and body care for women aged 35+. It cooperates with renowned domestic research centers and laboratories at every stage of the production process. The company’s main clients are beauty salons that use the cosmetics during treatments. Additionally, the company prepared a series of products that clients could purchase in salons during their visits.

The company set itself ambitious goals of building a brand and acquiring customers in a highly competitive industry. Existing and standing out against established players requires precise direction, a well-developed plan, and professional actions.

Until now, the company did not possess marketing and distinctive brand assets. Therefore, it was looking for an agency that would comprehensively undertake branding and the development of an effective online store that would meet business, marketing, and communication goals.

Goals and challenges

Project Overview

The goal of Belnea’s cooperation with our agency was to obtain comprehensive and distinctive marketing solutions at a very high level. From the beginning, we focused on marketing support based on reliable analyses. Then we built the brand by creating a communication strategy, a marketing plan, and a visual identity that not only attracts attention but also leaves a lasting impression on the market.

We created a functional online store that is not only visually attractive and effective but also ideally adapted to the needs and expectations of modern customers. Throughout the brand-building process, we provided marketing support to Belnea by creating, among other things, product presentations, scripts for overcoming objections, and sales emails.

Strategic actions

Strategy

Strategic activities are indispensable and fundamental elements of building a strong brand. Strategy is a compass that, on the one hand, helps determine the current situation, and on the other, allows for outlining future actions leading to the achievement of set goals and the fulfillment of the brand’s mission.

Together with Belnea, we went through key strategic stages:

  • Research and analyses — we ensured the acquisition of key information to thoroughly understand the market, competition, and Belnea’s customers.

  • Development of communication strategy and marketing plan — together we refined marketing goals, and then identified target groups, and determined the tools and channels that helped Belnea reach its customers.

  • Supplementation — we verified the actions taken, which were then supplemented. We provided marketing support for the brand.

Each of these stages is essential and has its place in our strategic plan.

The Logo is not only a graphic element but also represents the values and identity of the brand. Therefore, a key starting point for project development is understanding the mission, vision, and brand values.

Belnea operates in the beauty industry as a premium and luxury brand, aimed at professional beauty salons and spas. Its goal is not only to provide the highest quality products but also to build lasting relationships with clients.

Our task was to create a logo proposal that would emanate elegance, and also highlight the uniqueness of the brand and unambiguously evoke associations related to luxury.

Our actions
  • After thoroughly understanding Belnea’s needs, conducting an analysis of the competition’s visual identity, and defining the desired style, we proceeded to develop the Brand Style Starter document. It takes the form of moodboards, which are a powerful visual tool expressing aesthetics, style, and concept, forming the basis for the graphic design process. Moodboards allow for conveying a vision that is often difficult to express in words alone. We created three different versions of moodboards.

  • The client chose one of the proposed options. On this basis, we proceeded to create the logo. In this process, we also proposed three versions — differing in their approach to the chosen style. After thorough analyses and two rounds of changes, we selected the best version of the logo, which reflected the character and goal of the Belnea brand.

Brandbook

Creation

For the Belnea brand, we prepared a brand book. Based on the accepted styles, we developed various elements of the book, which resulted in a complete document. It contains the entire visual identity system, including specific designs, possible applications, and practical tips on brand usage.

  • Color palette: The first four positions constitute the main colors used by the Belnea brand, while the additional palette contains the last four positions, which are placed at a lower level.

  • Typography: In the Belnea brand logo, we use two fonts. English Grotesque Thin plays the main role and is the dominant font, while Raleway is used as an accent.

  • In the Belnea brand book, we also included: examples of correct and incorrect use of the logo on photos, guidelines regarding the stylistic line, a brand pattern drawing inspiration from the logo’s signet, and creative designs and photographs that help visualize how the brand is presented.

  • We also introduced new visual identity elements:

    • email footers,
    • business cards,
    • ID badges,
    • labels for three product lines,
  • We produced advertising materials meeting the brand’s goals:

    • roll-ups for trade fairs,
    • product stickers,
    • leaflets,
    • presentation video.

Product presentation

Strategy and Creation

For Belnea, we prepared a product presentation that constitutes marketing value for the client. Our strategy team developed the Information Architecture and Hierarchy to convey targeted content in the presentation in a way focused on benefits, while simultaneously increasing the effectiveness of the sales narrative. This presentation not only provides data important to clients but also inspires and persuades them to act by appropriately highlighting the benefits that clients achieve thanks to Belnea products.

Next, the creative department was engaged in designing the presentation, ensuring consistency with the entire brand identity. As a result, a product presentation was created that engages and builds a positive image of the Belnea brand, which in turn contributes to increasing the effectiveness of the marketing strategy.

3.4.1

UX Functional Wireframes

Cooperation with the Belnea brand was full of inspiration and commitment, especially in the context of developing UX functional wireframes for the e-commerce website. This process focused on delivering a unique and satisfying online experience to users.

The first step was conducting workshops, where we thoroughly learned about the expectations and requirements of the Belnea brand. During these meetings, the website structure was established, sales funnels were defined, and information architecture was determined. This allowed for a thorough understanding of the client’s needs and the creation of a personalized solution.

The next stage was working on UX functional wireframes. We prepared a prototype of the website in the form of functional wireframes. Thanks to them, it was possible to practically test various aspects of the site, check functionalities, and user interactions. This allowed for the precise refinement of every element so that the whole would meet customer expectations and deliver intuitive, pleasant experiences.

UI Graphic Gesign

Preparing the UI graphic design for Belnea was linked to the process of creating a responsive website — looking great and fully functional on both desktop computers and mobile devices, such as phones and tablets.

The process included creating a design system that defines the appearance of all service components and developing additional elements that enrich the user experience.

The UI Graphic Design included:
  • Development of the website layout, which took into account both the desktop and mobile versions, to ensure consistency of appearance on different devices.

  • Creating views of the homepage, subpages, forms, products, categories, and other elements that are an integral part of the site.

  • Selection of colors, fonts, and graphic styles that reflect the aesthetics of the Belnea brand and ensure readability and attractiveness.

  • Preparing a responsive design that adapts the appearance of the site to various screen sizes.

The design system scope included:
  • Development of a consistent component system, such as buttons, input fields, tables, headers, texts, icons, and many others used on the site.

  • Defining rules regarding margins, paddings, font sizes, background and text colors, and other details regarding the appearance of individual elements.

  • Creating design system documentation that will set guidelines for designers and developers, ensuring consistency of appearance throughout the site.

Additionally, we performed:
  • Development of favicons (favourite icons), used as the website symbol, displayed in the browser bar next to the URL, in browser tabs, or on the list of favorite sites.

  • Designing error pages, such as the 404 page, to provide users with information in case a page is not found.

  • Creating error messages that are readable and helpful in case of problems while using the site.

  • Preparation of thank you pages, which are displayed after sending forms or performing other interactions, to confirm the user’s action.

Content marketing

As part of content marketing activities, we developed professional and effective content for the client’s website and performed comprehensive editing of product and treatment descriptions.

In the narrative we developed, we focused on benefits resulting from the use of Belnea products, produced according to unique recipes. We also highlighted the advantages for beauty salons cooperating with the brand.

The texts were based on the effective content architecture model — AIDCA (Attention, Interest, Desire, Conviction, Action), which guarantees recipient engagement and presents the brand’s offer in an attractive and substantive way.

In this way, we highlighted the most important brand attributes, its USP. We created texts realizing the marketing goals set before us.

Summary

Thanks to our actions, the brand effectively communicates competitive advantages. Belnea gained effective support in the process of building a consistent image and reaching the right target group with its message. It also received tools that helped it acquire its first customers. It gained a functional online store that meets all business and marketing goals.

We preceded our actions with thorough analyses. We identified business goals and barriers in the market to then develop an effective action plan. We conducted an audit of the communication and visual identity of the main players in the market. We developed a concept that allowed for a thoughtful and strategic approach to marketing activities, bringing better results and a higher return on investment.
